Dan Donovan has had a 32-year career in government including serving as a United States Congressman, New York City District Attorney and Deputy Borough President, Dan is now engaged in various roles in the private sector.

In the House of Representatives Dan served on both the Homeland Security and Foreign Affairs Committees. On the Homeland Committee, Dan Chaired the Emergency Preparedness, Response and Communication subcommittee whose jurisdiction addressed both terrorism and natural disasters. Dan was also a member of Homeland’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection subcommittee. As a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Dan served on the Middle East and North Africa subcommittee as well as the subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Human rights and International Organizations.

As Staten Island District Attorney, Dan successfully prosecuted  a record 12,000+ criminal cases annually, resulting in one of the safest places to live in the Country.  Other roles in which Dan has served in government include Staten Island Deputy Borough President, Chief of Staff to the Richmond County Borough President, and Deputy Bureau Chief for the legendary Manhattan District Attorney, Robert Morgenthau.

Dan graduated cum laude from Fordham University School of Law where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review and received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University.
