Fred Larcombe

Frederick Larcombe is a seasoned and experiencedexecutive who has served asChief Financial Officer of public and private companies.  He creates value by collaborating with other functional disciplines to solve problems, contribute to growth, and enhance profitability.  Ultimately, this leads to Fred serving as a key business leader/partner in the pursuit and the achievement of an organization’s mission.

Fred's experience is diverse, international in scope, and areas of proficiency include budgeting and business planning for increased profitability, internal management and external SEC financial reporting, corporate governance, internal controls and process improvements, Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory compliance, treasury functions, risk management, and succession planning.  He has performed all aspects of merger and acquisition activity (due diligence, valuation, negotiation, deal structuring, closing transactions, and subsequent integration).  Fred has managed investor relations, turn-around situations, and the NYSE-MKT and NASDAQ listing processes.

He has successfully applied such expertise to various industries including manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, software and related services, telecom, and professional services.

Chief Financial Officer responsibilities have included Towerstream, a publicly-held provider of wireless Internet connectivity, PharmApprove, a privately-held professional services firm assists pharmaceutical companies in communicating with regulatory authorities, InterCore, a publicly-held company focused upon fatigue monitoring software systems, iBio, apublicly-held biopharmaceutical development company focusing on infectious diseases, Phytomedics, a venture capital backed clinical stage pharmaceutical development company which focused upon multi-component drugs, Plan 4 College, privately-held college preparatory services, Xenomics, a publicly-helddeveloper of DNA molecular diagnostic technologies, MicroDose Technologies, a privately-owned medical device company focused upon pulmonary delivery of pharmaceutical products, and ProTeam.com, a publicly-held online marketer of sports-related products, action-gear, and electronics.  In those roles Fred has been instrumental in raising more than $50 million in new equity, renegotiating more than $100 million in existing obligations, and developing and implementing numerous new initiatives to achieve desired business objectives.

Prior to Fred's Chief Financial Officer responsibilities, he held various roles of increasing responsibilities spanning almost a decade with Cambrex, a publicly-held manufacturer of fine chemical and pharmaceutical products.  During that period, the Company's annual revenue grew more than 300% to more than $500 million with operations in several European countries.

Fred started his career with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Seton Hall University and attended the Executive Development Program at Harvard Business School, an intensive three-month, full-time on-campus comprehensive curriculum for experienced business leaders.
